Three months since Hershey completed a reported $750 million acquisition of Danbury-based popcorn maker LesserEvil, the snack company wants to hire 30 workers to run new production lines at an expanded manufacturing plant on Route 7.
“We appreciate the town’s partnership,” wrote a LesserEvil project manager in December, outlining the company’s request to convert its Route 7 warehouse into a snack food manufacturing plant. “This request is being made in support of our ongoing business growth and operational expansion, which involves more production lines of snacks.”
