How an Unsuccessful New Milford Dress Shop Became the Nationally Known Elephant’s Trunk Flea Market

When I told my East Coast relatives we were moving to Connecticut from California, they exclaimed, “You’ll be able to go to the Elephant’s Trunk!” I had no idea what they were talking about, but based on their reactions, I decided it must be pretty magical. Several trips to the New Milford venue later, I can confirm: the Elephant’s Trunk Flea Market is a treasure trove.
